Testing

Take The Next Step

Psychoeducational Evaluations

Tailored to the specific need, psychoeducational evaluations provide comprehensive educational and psychological assessments for children (ages 6+), adolescents and adults.  Parents, in conjunction with schools, often seek assessments to learn more about:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), including Executive Functioning
  • Learning Disorders – impairments in Reading (Dyslexia), Written Expression and Mathematics, as well as Non-Verbal Learning, Auditory Processing, and Language Processing deficits
  • Cognitive Functioning (IQ) and Giftedness
  • Social-Emotional Functioning

Following an in-depth Clinical Interview with parents and children, testing is typically 6-8 hours, depending on the functioning being evaluated.  A two-hour feedback session will explain the comprehensive report, including providing recommendations for both home and school. Recommended school accommodations will be included, as well as any referrals for therapy or special needs (e.g., psychotherapy, Executive Functioning Coach, specialized LD programs).  Reports will be available within 2-3 weeks of testing.

Psychological assessments for children, adolescents and adults is also available.  Examples include prodromal symptoms of schizophrenia and/or emerging personality disorders in children, differential diagnoses for adults, adult Autism, baseline of cognitive functioning for older adults.
